I share this blog post because it puts into words something that has been on my mind for a while - if we separate age groups in our churches we do so to the peril of teenagers and their future.
An excellent article. We've been challenged in recent years by the idea of the family-integrated church, wherein worship is an all-age activity and age segregation is repudiated in favour of family discipleship. It is a model that is profoundly biblical and encourages the parents to take their responsibilities seriously.
Regarding the youth culture, I recently read "The Road Trip That Changed the World" by Mark Sayers. It provides some much-needed insight into the roots of the youth culture. Highly recommended.
